Here are some impressive shots from Iron&Denim Power Meet.You might have never heard of it before but don’t worry. This is because it was the first time ever they had the event. Know the name. You might be a fan of it later.

A bunch of cool guys at the Wrenchmonkees garage put together their own little tradeshow during the recent Winter’s Copenhagen Fashion Week. Iron&Denim Power Meet, they called it. Summing up fellow Iron&Denim lovers from Indigofera, Rooktown, Eat Dust and For Holding Up the Trousers, the WM A.C. label were displayed in it’s rightful environment.

During the days craftsmen were working on their respective products everybody was invited to join the show and it was free of charge! We love you. People grabbed some beer, ate some food and got pit access to the founders and craftsmen behind this selected group of hardwearing brands. Top 10 Japanese Selvedge Raw Denim

Think of blue jeans, and many will think of the US. But it’s Japan that keeps the true spirit of denim alive. Those brands you see today in America are only a shadow of the jeans that America gave birth to. Production of raw, unwashed denim was discontinued in the US in the 1960s, and now almost all you can get is pre-washed and artificial.

In Japan, however, the unadulterated spirit of blue denim is alive and kicking. True selvedge denim, produced on age-old looms and often featuring rivets and pocket stitching. Well, it is truly ironic that Japan’s strict adherence to low-technology that elsewhere in the world no one wants to use anymore, has made the country the world’s leader in denim production.

Anyway, Japan now has so many companies producing high-quality jeans that it makes your head spin. Some of the better known ones are what we’re mentioning here.

Here was the denim competition we did among our team last week to pick out the top ten Japanese selvedge raw denim worth investing your money in. The room was getting intense, all of us brought up the best pair we thought it would beat the others’. All the denim gurus were amazed enough and finally, here are the top ten pairs we got.

Livid Jeans: The Inside Story of the Retail Line

Remember the Norwegian label; Livid Jeans we mentioned in our post before?
The brand is now taking the next step releasing their retail line to go along with their handmade offerings. What’s so special? Look below.

To go with the crazy increasing call for the brand and the orders that started piling up, aside from meeting the day-to-day needs of running a hand-made jeans company, they launched a limited Retail Line, scaling the operations to cope with growing demand and be able to produce and ship abroad.

To our surprise, we were impressed to know the offerings, all of them, are crafted on non-automated industrial machines here. Other mass denim manufactures, eat your heart out! Saying Livid’s guy is the Norwegian Roy isn’t something overstated. Produced and sewn by only 5 workers in a small family owned factory in Barcelos, Portugal, the line consists on a bigger variety of products in different quantities.

Denim nerds, prepare the trilled face. Well, here you will find new fits made from a rope dyed 12.9 oz. dry denim from Japanese Kuroki which said to be the top of the line non-selvage denim in a tight right hand twill construction, high quality poly core cotton thread with the bottom part reinforced with ecru lining meaning more durability. These pairs feature non-breakable front pocket opening, durable ecru coloured pocket bags, brass rivets and fly with four brass doughnut buttons. Don’t wait because they’re limited at 400 pieces only.

Now here is the fun part. Livid Jeans has come up with a wear & tear project called The Inside Story.

It’s simple. And cool. You wear a new pair you got for eight months straight and send them the resulting photos as of October 1st, 2013. The WINNER will be chosen the next month and the subsequent batch of Livid Jeans will be reproduced bearing an imprint of the winner’s history and name inside the pocket lining. Japanese brand LUKER by Neighborhood rings in the new fashion year 2013 with the release of its lookbook for upcoming Spring/Summer season. Here we see a more British subculture influenced collection, that subtly incorporates ’80s punk rock aesthetic and prep-school hint: printed t-shirts with lion crest on and a range of light outerwear, including a great take on Western American feel jackets and denim. Definitely a collection to look forward to.

A Closer Look at the New Sony PlayStation 4 Controller

Sony has recently unveiled the new PS4! and released official shots for the Dualshock 4 controller of the new console during a live event hosted at the Manhattan Center in New York.

Too bad we STILL didn’t catch a glimpse of the new PS4 physical device, but a closer look at its new controller was still worth it. It features a new highly sensitive six-axis sensor, as well as a touch pad located on the front of the controller, together with a built-in speaker and stereo headset jack, enabling PS4 users to enjoy high-fidelity sound effects of games from both the TV and also from the controller which offers us gamers completely new ways to play and interact with games.

Sony has, however, revealed some fundamental details about the PS4 hardware, announced during the event and revealed in a post-conference spec sheet just what we'll see when the console launches during the holidays this year.

New features:
- You can now purchase new games online
- User recognition, which means it remembers you and your game favor to automatically download the types of new games for you.
- Screen sharing: you can now let your friend play on your screen.
- And more to be unwrapped.

First Official Superdry Store in Bangkok
